1.    Subject+Verb+Object, resulting in an increase/a decrease in + the number of something/the demand for something

Example: Many people in the countryside migrate into big cities, resulting in an increase in the demands for accommodation, food and services in urban areas.
Nhiều người ở vùng quê đã di cư lên các thành phố lớn, dẫn đến sự gia tăng về nhu cầu nhà ở, thực phẩm và dịch vụ tại khu vực đô thị.

2.    Subject+Verb+Object, giving rise to something

Example: Advertisements give people more choices on what they want to buy, giving rise to the consumer society
Quảng cáo đem đến cho mọi người nhiều sự lựa chọn hơn về những thứ họ muốn mua, dẫn đến phát sinh xã hội tiêu thụ. 

3.    By doing something, Subject+Verb+Object

Example: By spending money to protect minority languages, governments can also preserve traditions, customs and behaviours.
Bằng việc chi tiêu tiền bạc để bảo vệ các ngôn ngữ thiểu số, chính phủ cũng có thể bảo tồn truyền thống, phong tục và  lối ứng xử.

 

4.    Subject+Verb+Object, and this will +Verb+Object.

Example: The use of private cars is increasing in Hanoi, and this puts a strain on its infrastructure.
Việc sử dụng ô tô cá nhân đang gia tăng tại Hà Nội, và điều này đang gây áp lực về mặt cơ sở hạ tầng.

5.    Instead of + Verb-ing + Object, Subject+Verb+Object.

Example: Instead of driving cars, people should use public transport.
Thay vì lái xe ô tô, mọi người nên sử dụng các phương tiện công cộng

6.    Subject+Verb+Object. This allows/urges/encourage something/somebody to do something (This will discourage somebody from doing something).

Example: The utilisation of cheap labour helps companies to reduce the production cost. This encourages business expansion. 
Việc tận dụng nguồn lao động rẻ đã giúp các công ty giảm chi phí sản xuất. Điều này giúp các công ty mở rộng doanh nghiệp.

7.    Compared to those who +Subject+Verb+Object, Subject+Verb+Object

Example: Compared to those who hold high school qualifications, university graduates often have more employment opportunities.
So với những người chỉ có bằng cấp trung học phổ thông, những sinh viên tốt nghiệp đại học thường có nhiều cơ hội việc làm hơn.

8.    If Subject+Verb+Object, Subject+Verb+Object

Example: If air travel is restricted, people would opt for other means of transport such as buses and cars.
Nếu di chuyển hàng không bị hạn chế, mọi người sẽ lựa chọn các phương tiện giao thông khác như xe buýt và ô tô. 

9.    Subject + Verb + Object [that Subject 1 + Verb 1 + Object 1], because Subject 2 + Verb 2 + Object 2

Example: I partly disagree with the idea that advertising has negatively influenced our

Tôi có phần không đồng ý với ý kiến rằng quảng cáo có ảnh hưởng tiêu cực đến cuộc sống của chúng ta, bởi tôi nhận thấy một vài lợi ích mà nó đem lại cho xã hội.
life, because I recognise several benefits it brings to society.

10.    When Subject+Verb+Object, Subject 1 + Verb 1 + Object 1, Verb-ing + Object.

Example: When the government pays for tuition fees, the constraint of finance is removed, encouraging a greater number of students to attend academic courses
Khi chính phủ trả tiền học phí, các hạn chế về mặt tài chính không còn, từ đó khuyến khích nhiều học sinh hơn tham gia các khóa học.
